We are on the fast track to WWE Clash in Paris in just two weeks, and this week’s SmackDown will look to amp up the excitement of the WWE Universe. If you want to stay updated, here’s a WWE SmackDown preview for August 15th, 2025. Let’s run it down.
Last week on SmackDown, we saw Carmelo Hayes making a beeline for Nick Aldis’ office, looking to land a United States Championship Match. His mentor, and supposed partner, The Miz, would come out of the office. Melo seemed extremely surprised to see the “A-Lister,” considering he has been M.I.A. for a while, thinking that his promises of leading Hayes to the promised land were all but gone.
The Miz would plead his case with Melo, saying that he doesn’t need a U.S. Title Match because he’s already talked to Nick Aldis about him granting them a tag match for this week’s SmackDown. Miz would further convince him that good days are coming for “Melo Don’t Miz,” and it seemed like Carmelo would buy into this, trusting the man who’s a multiple-time world champion. Hayes would exit, but we then see Nick Aldis coming to his office with The Miz waiting for him with a “proposition.” Melo Don’t Miz will be in action this Friday night! WWE SummerSlam 2025 featured one of the wildest tag team bouts in WWE History, a Six-Pack TLC Match, and that involved these two teams who’ll face each other this Friday night: The Street Profits and #DIY. Last Friday night, both units were still clearly banged up. That said, they weren’t banged enough to get into a war of words.
Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa blamed Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins for nearly ending Candice LeRae’s career, with the Profits pushing off the ladder that led to LeRae crashing and burning during the match. Before this heated exchange could get any further, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis would provide them with a resolution. Since both teams are still clearly amped up, they will face each other this Friday night. With The Wyatt Sicks still holding the gold and putting everyone on notice with an eerie video message, the winner of this match could be one step away from once again challenging for the WWE Tag Team Championship.
