WWE SmackDown Predictions are here for March 6, 2026. WWE is coming off fresh from a historic Elimination Chamber PLE, which was the last pit stop before ‘Mania 42.
Randy Orton and Rhea Ripley won the Elimination Chamber Matches and will be battling Drew McIntyre and Jade Cargill, respectively, for the WWE Titles at WrestleMania. While Cargill is dealing with Michin and B-Fab as fodder in the interim, McIntyre might even walk into Mania as champion with major threats like Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fatu in his way. This week on SmackDown, two matches have been officially scheduled: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Cody Rhodes for the WWE Title and a Tag Team Number One Contender’s Match to determine who is next for MFTs and the Tag Team Titles. Also, Nia Jax and Lash Legend are set to celebrate after winning the tag titles from Rhiyo. And, speaking of Rhea Ripley, she is set to confront Jade Cargill after winning the Elimination Chamber. Without further ado, here are the official SmackDown Predictions for March 6, 2026.
After Drew McIntyre screwed Cody Rhodes in both the Royal Rumble and the Elimination Chamber, Nick Aldis made this title match official to keep things fair for the “golden boy” of the WWE. Rhodes really should not have to jump through all those hoops to get into the WWE Title match if he merely had his rematch clause. However, it is fun to see the noble hero struggle his way to the top of the mountain before finally getting his payoff. Since this seems to be Cody’s last shot at the main event of Mania, his victory is inevitable. However, this victory won’t be clean. Rhodes was not the only one whom McIntyre was screwing. McIntyre also screwed Jacob Fatu’s chances of qualifying for the Elimination Chamber against Logan Paul last week and is highly suspected to be his mystery attacker. Fatu won’t hesitate to screw McIntyre, especially since he is partially the reason McIntyre won the “3 Stages of Hell Match” against Rhodes to win the WWE Title in the first place. This should lead to a fatal four amongst Rhodes, McIntyre, Fatu, and Orton at Mania.
The entire program between MFTs and Wyatt Sicks has been going on for months and is starting to feel stale. Yes, the lantern represents the legacy of the Wyatt Family. Yes, the championship represents power in the tag division. Yes, wrestling has more than one royal family, and two of those families are currently at each other’s throats. However, WWE is stretching this feud out longer than necessary because there are barely any tag teams in this division to keep feuds fresh. DIY is terminated. Street Profits are absent. WWE has not even announced the teams in this so-called number one contender’s match because there are no teams to announce. Los Lotharios have been irrelevant. Pretty Deadly has only been about Kit Wilson and his toxic masculinity ever since Elton Prince’s injury. Damian Priest and R-Truth, who have Judgment Day history, have been cracking jokes backstage on Wilson’s poetry, but they have not done much in the ring together. WWE may have to rely on a makeshift team to shake things up in this dead tag division.
