Raw airs tonight (July 7) with a live show from Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, Rhode Island. This is the final episode of Raw during the two week build to Evolution 2, which takes place on July 13. Goldberg’s return on the June 16 episode of Raw is the only time he has appeared live in a WWE ring to build interest in his final match. Goldberg did a pre-taped interview for the June 23 episode, and he got the video package treatment on last week’s show. The events page on WWE’s web site doesn’t advertise him for tonight’s show in Rhode Island, and GM Adam Pearce didn’t mention Goldberg’s name while talking about all the exciting things WWE has planned for Raw.

Last week, GUNTHER ended up shooting an angle with Seth Rollins and CM Punk because Goldberg wasn’t in the building. I don’t know what GUNTHER will do this week if that’s still the case. Hopefully there’s nothing to see here and WWE has something compelling planned with Goldberg tonight that’s worth not advertising him ahead of time for. Then again, the one time Goldberg did show up in the ring he looked really, really old. It’s not a great idea for the world champ to pretend to be scared of a 58-year-old man who limps to the ring. Maybe it’s for the best if Goldberg stays away until the actual match on Saturday and doesn’t risk getting injured by walking to the ring tonight. As mentioned above, The Paul Heyman Guys are busy tonight with three separate matches: Rollins vs. Penta, Breakker vs. Zayn, and Reed vs. Uso. Rollins has a match against LA Knight at Saturday Night’s Main Event, and CM Punk is also hell-bent on beating the shit out of Seth. Will Knight and Punk show up to turn the finish of these matches into pure chaos? There’s also the potential for interference from Karrion Kross, who still has beef with Zayn.

Becky Lynch’s live appearance tonight will be primarily focused on addressing her women’s Intercontinental title defense at Evolution 2 against Bayley and Lyra Valkyria. This is another segment that can turn into a wild brawl if Bayley and Lyra interrupt The Man and bring the same energy they had last week when WWE officials intervened to stop them from fighting all over the arena. Roxanne Perez has replaced Liv Morgan as WWE women’s tag team champion and now wants to make Kairi Sane pay for injuring Morgan. Well, that’s what Perez is saying publicly about Kairi, but it seems pretty clear that she’s thrilled about the way Liv’s downfall has led to her rise within The Judgment Day. Regardless, Perez and Sane will do battle in a singles match tonight.
