Raw airs tonight (May 11) with a live show emanating from Food City Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. This is the first episode of Raw during the three week build to Clash In Italy, which takes place on May 31.

Jacob Fatu snapped at Backlash after he lost against World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns. The Samoan Werewolf continued his onslaught on the OTC after the bell rang, while also taking out the referee, “The Hurricane” Shane Helms, and putting his hands on GM Adam Pearce. The WWE post-show panel speculated about Roman’s stroke backstage, and wondered if he had the power to pull some strings and get rid of Fatu from WWE altogether. It turns out Roman was wrong about Backlash being Jacob’s last night, because Pearce has already announced him for tonight’s episode of Raw. There is going to be an Acknowledgement Ceremony for Roman Reigns, where WWE is forcing Jacob to acknowledge Roman as his Tribal Chief. It’s almost guaranteed that Fatu isn’t going to grovel at Reigns’ feet and fall in line, but Pearce did not indicate what the consequences are if he fails to do so. Instead of getting suspended or fired from WWE, it’s probably somehow leading to a rematch for the Samoan Werewolf at Clash In Italy.

Joe Hendry teams up with the Street Profits tonight to take on The Vision’s Austin Theory, Bron Breakker, and YouTube Douchebag Logan Paul. This is the Street Profits’ first match since working some house shows in January, and it would be hard to argue that they deserve a shot at The Vision’s world tag team championship if they lose. WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Paige and Brie Bella are scheduled to appear on Raw. They are being hunted down by the Judgment Day’s Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez. Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch ran her mouth after interrupting Sol Ruca’s Raw contract signing last week. The Man paid the price for being such an asshole by getting hit with a Sol Snatcher, after Ruca slipped on the rope and botched her first attempt at it.

Former world champion CM Punk has been off for a few weeks, but I assume he’ll be back tonight to talk trash and punch someone in the face. WWE has a PLE in Saudi Arabia scheduled for late June, which means CM has a little over one month to prepare for his next Saudi government ass-kissing. Saturday Night’s Main Event is coming up on May 23, and there are only two episodes of Raw (and two episodes of SmackDown) to announce some matches for that event.  Roxanne Perez proved her loyalty to the Judgment Day last week by screwing over Finn Balor and helping JD McDonagh beat him in their rematch.
