Raw airs tonight (Apr. 28) with a live show from T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri. This is the second episode of Raw during the three week build towards Backlash, which takes place on May 10 in St. Louis.

Bron Breakker made a major statement last week when he crashed the ring to spear the shit out of Roman Reigns in the final segment of the show. Seth Rollins embraced Breakker as the newest Paul Heyman Guy as they stood over the bodies of Reigns and CM Punk. A clear message was sent to the rest of the locker room that these guys plan to be the dominant force on Raw going forward. GM Adam Pearce referred to the alliance of Heyman, Rollins, and Breakker as a “new trifecta of terror.” Hopefully they will come up with a better name for their group when they show up live on Raw tonight. Heyman and Rollins were interrupted so quickly by Punk and Reigns that they never really got a chance to explain their actions from WrestleMania. Perhaps they’ll find more time for talking on tonight’s episode of Raw.

Are Punk and Reigns even in the building tonight to try to attack Paul Heyman’s guys again? Does Heyman plan to add any more new members to this alliance? Tune into Raw to see how this new evil faction plans to run Monday nights going forward. Becky Lynch is scheduled to appear on Raw and explain why she attacked Lyra Valkyria last week. Pat McAfee will address last week’s incident where he was choked out by GUNTHER after saving Michael Cole. Finally, GM Adam Pearce isn’t in the building tonight, so SmackDown GM Nick Aldis is filling in for him. Sami Zayn returned to Raw last week and congratulated Jey Uso on becoming the new world heavyweight champion at WrestleMania 41. It looked like Jey initially thought Sami was coming for a title shot. Backlash is less than two weeks away, so Zayn will have to move fast if what he really wants is to take that belt away from his close friend.

Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio can’t be stopped right now, especially with JD McDonagh back on Raw to help him pick up wins against stars like Penta. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods believe they are the best tag team alive after winning the world tag team championship at WrestleMania. El Grande Americano says he sits on a throne atop all of lucha libre after beating Rey Fenix at WrestleMania. For whatever it’s worth, WWE Champion John Cena is not currently advertised for tonight’s show. Gunther has been suspended from WWE Raw because of his assault on Pat McAfee. Safe in the knowledge the former World Heavyweight Champion will be nowhere near Kansas, McAfee has requested some time to talk to Gunther. Meanwhile, Logan Paul will also appear on WWE Raw. Will his presence be too hard a temptation for Karrion Kross to avoid? Kross feels AJ Styles let all ‘real wrestlers’ down when he lost to Paul at WrestleMania 41 despite Kross attempting to hand him a victory.
