This week’s episode of WWE NXT takes place at the 713 Music Hall in Houston, Texas. This show continues the road to the Heatwave special. At time of writing, only three matches have been confirmed for this card. It can be expected that, following the TNA Slammiversary event, there will be more on deck for the card. Here is all you need to know ahead of the July 22 NXT. Oba Femi is officially the 10th longest reigning NXT Champion. He has quite a volatile challenge this Tuesday, as he defends the gold against Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura in a triple-threat match. Briggs and Inamura have clashed over how a title opportunity should be approached, and this could make for quite an intriguing dynamic. With triple-threat matches being where he shines most.
After capturing the TNA Knockouts World Championship at Slammiversary while still holding the NXT Women’s Championship, Jacy Jayne is set to appear and address her historic double-title win. Fans are obviously excited to hear what she will have to say. Jasper Troy will be duking it out with Ricky Saints in singles competition. Finally, Blake Monroe will go one-on-one with Wren Sinclair on NXT this week. With Jordynne Grace being present for the match, fans are wondering if she’ll get some revenge on Monroe for her betrayal.
