WWE Evolution 2 goes live on pay-per-view (PPV) and the Peacock streaming service tonight (Sun., July 13, 2025) at 7 pm ET from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, but the promotion is also offering a free live stream of its Countdown show starting at 5:00 pm ET.
Everyone else will tell you that Jacy Jayne “shocked the world” when she dethroned Stephanie Vaquer to become NXT Women’s Champion. But for Jayne, it was just her destiny to do so. Jacy Jayne has managed to hush all the doubters after two successful title defenses against Lainey Reid and Thea Hail on NXT TV and at live events.
While that was happening, Jordynne Grace clawed to come out of the NXT Women’s Championship Evolution Eliminator on top, leaving devastation in her wake, going through the likes of Lola Vice, Izzi Dame, Lash Legend, and Jaida Parker. A former TNA Knockouts World Champion, Grace has been itching for a chance to claim gold in WWE, and this Sunday night, she has the opportunity to do so. It won’t be easy because Jacy Jayne is just, if not, hungrier than her, and she won’t relinquish the title that easily, especially with Fatal Influence backing her up. Tiffany Stratton has been on an incredible upward trajectory since joining WWE. A former NXT Women’s Champion, Ms. Money in the Bank, and current reigning and defending WWE Women’s Champion, Stratton was a former gymnast who took to wrestling like a duck to water. It’s truly amazing how Stratton managed to achieve all this in just over three years.
Stratton’s career path mirrors that of a familiar figure, specifically a Hall of Famer and former seven-time WWE Women’s Champion. Trish Stratus, like Tiffany, entered WWE from a completely different background: the fitness industry. Stratus was a natural, and before everyone knew it, she created a legacy that defined a generation and made her worthy to be involved in every “Greatest of All-Time” conversation. As such, it’s only natural that Stratton wants to defend her WWE Women’s Title against arguably the best to do it. These two teamed up at Elimination Chamber, defeating Nia Jax and Candice LeRae. Since then, Stratton has considered Stratus as a mentor. However, that all goes out the window as Tiffy tries to retain the title and Trish tries to nab her eight women’s world title.
