It’s clobbering time, WWE Universe, as the final significant pit stop on the Road to WrestleMania 42 goes down in the “Windy City,” Chicago, Illinois. The WWE PLE finalizes most of what we’ll see at the “Showcase of the Immortals,” and what a night we’ll have in “Chi-Town.” With all that said, let’s get right into it. We run down the WWE Elimination Chamber 2026 preview and match card, happening in Chicago on February 28, 2026.
To say things escalated quickly would be an understatement when talking about AJ Lee and Becky Lynch. The last defense of the old era, and “The Man” that took it to greater heights, will now have a full-blown fight this coming Saturday. We all know how this started; both women had the backs of their significant others, but along the way, they developed their own personal animosity. Plain and simple, Lynch does not want Lee around; this is her division, it’s her WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title, and she doesn’t want someone who had their time in the sun coming back to sweep it all from under her. But AJ Lee isn’t around to do that. Lee stated that she wants to fight the absolute best and have a run of a lifetime, but for now, all roads lead back to Becky Lynch.
AJ Lee realizes this is probably the biggest match of her career, her first singles and title match in nearly 10 years. That said, she earned this opportunity, and she wants to walk out of the state that she called home for a decade as the new Women’s Intercontinental Champion, but Lynch has other plans. Chicago is the place where she’ll finally have vindication and expose AJ Lee for what she is, a piece in the grander puzzle. A puzzle Lynch feels like she completed, carrying the company on her back for most of the time that Lee was away. Regardless of the outcome, WWE will have its biggest women’s match in recent memory; it’s “The Man” Becky Lynch against the legend AJ Lee, and it’s all for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title!
A lot is riding on the 2026 Men’s Elimination Chamber Match. Quite simply, whoever comes out of this demonic structure as the last man standing gets to stand across the ring from Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE Championship and secure a main event slot at WrestleMania 42. This year’s edition of the Chamber is star-studded, with main-eventers and bona fide future flag-bearers all willing to put their body on the line for one shot at immortality. While everyone has a cause in this, some have more of an axe to grind with McIntyre, in particular, Cody Rhodes. The “American Nightmare” lost the title in a very controversial fashion, and he’s hellbent on getting it back one way or another to “save WWE” from the “Scottish Psychopath.” We also have Randy Orton, who has a long-documented history with McIntyre. Orton is as dangerous as ever and is on the hunt for his 15th history-making world title, and he sees Drew as the only obstacle to that goal.
