This comes at the perfect time to win the TNA Tag Team Championship tonight at the Genesis PPV (Sat., Jan. 17, 2026). The Righteous challenge the Hardys for the gold. Genesis starts at 8 pm ET (pre-show at 7 pm ET) airing through TNA+, TrillerTV, and other PPV outlets. One line that stuck out to me from this clip is the Righteous teasing that the story with the Hardys is going to play out even bigger. I hope that means a visit to the Broken Hardy Universe. Given the characters of the Righteous, they would be a natural fit to battle Broken Matt and Brother Nero in a cinematic fight. Wonderful!

Tonight’s TNA Genesis 2026 event promises to deliver high drama, incredible matchups, and storylines that will keep fans on the edge of their seats. With matches like Frankie Kazarian vs. Mike Santana and more, it’s bound to be a show you won’t want to miss. Joe Hendry will square off against Cedric Alexander and Moose in a triple threat. This comes after Leon Slater was set to defend his X-Division title against Cedric and Moose but he couldn’t make it due to visa issues, so Hendry took Slater’s place. Eddie Edwards will face off against JDC in JDC’s retirement match and it’s expected to be a very emotional one. Mustafa Ali will duke it out with Elijah in singles competition. Rich Swann will square off against AJ Francis in one-on-one action. Finally, Mara Sadé will duke it out with Ryan Nemeth in a singles match.

The TNA International Championship will be defended in a four-way match, and it’s shaping up to be one of the night’s most talked-about situations. Santino Marella announced that Stacks will defend against BDE, Eric Young, and a mystery opponent described as “a man who made his name in Texas.” So it remains to be seen who will walk out as the champion in the end. The Hardys will put the TNA World Tag Team Championships on the line against The Righteous in what’s expected to be one of the best matches on the show. The Righteous have been playing mind games with Matt and Jeff and so, fans are waiting to see if they can somehow beat the Hardys to win the titles.
