Mercedes Moné returns to AEW programming tonight for the first time since she was defeated by “Timeless” Toni Storm last month at All In Texas. That was Mercedes’ first ever loss in an AEW singles match, so this is her chance to react to that failure and give fans an idea of where her head is at right now. Even though Mercedes failed to win the AEW women’s world championship at its biggest show of the year, she has since added a couple more championships to her collection after a recent trip to Poland. For that reason alone, I expect “8 Belts Moné” will be just as cocky and confident as ever during her AEW return tonight. Moné is back in AEW just in time to defend the TBS championship at Forbidden Door. Tony Khan has booked her in a 4-way title match on that card against women from Stardom, CMLL, and AEW. The representative from AEW will be determined tonight in a 4-way match between Billie Starkz, Queen Aminata, Alex Windsor, and Skye Blue. Considering that Forbidden Door takes place in London and Windsor will be the local hero there, I think her odds of winning tonight look pretty darn good.
