Dynamite airs tonight (June 25) with a live show from accesso ShoWare Center in Kent, Washington. This is the fifth episode of Dynamite during the seven week build towards All In, which takes place on July 12.

AEW’s biggest show of the year is coming up in a little over two weeks. With that in mind, it’s very strange that as of 12 hours ago, the only segment or match announced for tonight’s episode of Dynamite was the returning Kota Ibushi vs. Trent Beretta. These two guys might not even be wrestling on the card at All In Texas. One thing that stands out to me about this Dynamite lineup is there’s no mention of any wrestlers who are booked in the big three matches at All In, which are AEW World Champion Jon Moxley vs. Hangman Page, AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm vs. TBS Champion Mercedes Mone, and Kenny Omega vs. Kazuchika Okada. There’s also nothing here for Will Ospreay, Swerve Strickland, and the Young Bucks, who appear to be lined up for the fourth big match at All In.

Ibushi’s presence is part of Omega’s story, so there’s at least that, but it’s almost like Tony Khan somehow forgot to book AEW’s top stars on Dynamite while the biggest event of the year is approaching. Who knows, maybe it slipped his mind in the euphoria of last week’s ratings success of Grand Slam Mexico. AEW is taping tomorrow’s Collision right after Dynamite, which makes the lack of top stars announced even more perplexing given Khan needs to have 4+ hours of programming booked just hours from now. Looking at tonight’s lineup, these 4-way matches for a favorable position in the Casino Gauntlets seem to indicate that ROH world champions Athena and Bandido will be competing in those gauntlets at All In, which is pretty neat.

The women’s 4-way match should feature the latest development in the story between Willow Nightingale and Kris Statlander. The Hurt Syndicate need challengers for their tag team gold at All In, so perhaps we’ll find out who that is tonight. Just like with the Casino Gauntlets, I suspect this will turn into a “get everyone on the card” story for All In where there are multiple teams coming after Bob Lashley and Shelton Benjamin. At the very least, JetSpeed has a bone to pick with them, and it sounds like Nick Wayne and Christian Cage also want the belts. The losses are piling up for Anthony Bowens, who is is frustrated with the way his singles run is going in AEW. Will Bowens consider ditching Daddy Ass and/or crawling back to Max Caster? Max is actually more over with the fans than Bowens is thanks to the Best Wrestler Alive open challenge gimmick where he is regularly squashed.
