Dynamite airs tonight (June 18) with a live Grand Slam Mexico show from Arena México in Mexico City, Mexico. This is the fourth episode of Dynamite during the seven week build towards All In, which takes place on July 12.

AEW is running a show in Mexico tonight for the first time ever, and it won’t be four hours long! This one is scheduled to go 2.5 hours (plus a probable overrun), which is still longer than a typical episode of Dynamite. It looks like a title change is on the menu, because TBS Champion Mercedes Moné is challenging Zeuxis for the CMLL World Women’s Championship. Mercedes has never been pinned or lost a singles match in AEW. She’s also going to compete in the biggest women’s match in AEW history next month at All In when she challenges “Timeless” Toni Storm for the AEW women’s world championship. I can’t imagine AEW would book this match tonight with the idea of Mercedes taking a loss before All In. When you put two and two together, the answer is that Mercedes is very likely adding CMLL gold to her collection and ready to celebrate with her new boyfriend when she walks out of Arena Mexico tonight. However, Toni Storm can be very unpredictable, so maybe she has some kind of special performance in mind tonight to ruin The CEO’s night.

Mistico is CMLL’s top draw, and he’s going one-on-one with MJF tonight at Grand Slam Mexico. MJF’s cockiness is on full display now that he’s part of The Hurt Syndicate, and he plans to rip off Sloppy Sin Cara’s mask after he beats him tonight. Tonight’s card also includes the following 10-man tag team match: Will Ospreay, Swerve Strickland, Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata, & Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Jon Moxley, Young Bucks, Claudio Castagnoli, & Wheeler Yuta. The babyfaces are looking for some payback after Ospreay took a bullet for Swerve last week at the hands of the Bucks. Mark Briscoe vs. Kazuchika Okada is also advertised for tonight. Briscoe asked for this match after he saw Okada injure his longtime friend Kenny Omega last week. Mark wants to put a hurting on Kazuchika to make sure he can’t walk into All In at 100% health either. Sometimes the only stakes you need in a wrestling match are money, and that’s what we’re getting tonight in a 4 Million Pesos High Flying 4-Way match featuring Ricochet, Hologram, Mascara Dorada, and Lio Rush. Ricochet is pissed about missing out on the bag the last time AEW had one of these matches, and he can probably use these pesos towards paying that new stable of henchmen he’s looking to recruit.
