Dynamite airs tonight (May 14) with a live Beach Break show from NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. This is the sixth episode of Dynamite during the seven week build towards Double or Nothing, which takes place on May 25.

Joe already got one up on the champ when he choked him out last month as The Opps defeated the Death Riders to win the AEW world trios championship. At the time, it looked like Mox vs. Joe for the world title was on the table as a possible main event for Double or Nothing. The title match is instead happening tonight at Beach Break, while Double or Nothing is less than two weeks away with no main event. That’s why I think the booking of tonight’s steel cage match will directly play into the announcement of Double or Nothing’s main event. The Death Riders are having a rough go of it lately with PAC out injured, Claudio Castagnoli taken out by Joe, and Wheeler Yuta still being a guy named Wheeler Yuta. We all saw Jon Moxley waiting for the Young Bucks in their locker room last week, because he’s a desperate man who knows he needs their help. Moxley’s strategy seems to be one where he survives an ass kicking from Joe long enough for The Elite to figure out how to get inside the cage and once again help him retain the gold.

If The Elite do show up to screw over Joe, it doesn’t take much else for that to lead to an announcement about an Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing featuring some combination of The Elite, Death Riders, Ricochet, The Opps, Kenny Omega, Swerve Strickland, or Mark Briscoe. Is that where all of this is headed, or am I the dumbest ass for looking passed Joe as having a real chance to end Jon’s very bad title reign tonight? Tune into Dynamite Beach Break to find out. AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm takes part in another sweaty 4-way on Dynamite, this time getting it on with Skye Blue, AZM, and Mina Shirakawa all at the same time. This is another title eliminator match, which means if one of the challengers win, that woman will earn a future title shot against Toni. Storm does need an opponent for Double or Nothing and the clock is ticking, so maybe she finally falls on her face tonight. The nature of this 4-way match means Storm can lose without even being involved in the finish.
