AEW World Champion MJF and AEW World Trios Champion Hangman Page met in the ring last week on Dynamite to determine the stipulation for their title match at Revolution. The champ got caught trying to rig a coin flip during that segment, so AEW booker Tony Khan immediately responded by making it a Texas Death match at the PPV. MJF was irate on Collision. He insulted Khan and tried to hold the show hostage until the stip was changed. However, Kevin Knight interrupted to call him a “crybaby ass bitch.” The Jet said he’s better looking than MJF and would make for a better world champ. Big Hebrew couldn’t believe what he was hearing, so he booked himself in a world title match against Knight on tonight’s Dynamite in El Paso. MJF said he will show that Knight isn’t the future or even the present of AEW: “After I’m through with you little buddy, all you’re gonna be is history.”

It’s not likely that Knight will beat MJF for the title tonight, of course, so this one will probably end with MJF teaching him a brutal lesson about getting involved in the champ’s business. Knight is one of Hangman’s trios championship partners, so there is a connection there that may draw Page into the post-match angle if MJF gets too carried away with whatever punishment he has in mind for The Jet. AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla defends the gold tonight against Thunder Rosa. The Toxic Spider said Rosa would be better off retiring instead of taking this match, because she doesn’t fight to win, she fights to kill. AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley has defeated El Clon and Mark Davis over the last few weeks, which means he has about 279 more members of the Don Callis Family to get through before he defends the gold against Konosuke Takeshita in a match with no time limit at Revolution. Moxley can add one more name to the list tonight when he battles Hecihcero in a singles match. Mox just recently won the Wrestling Observer Newsletter award for Best Brawler of 2025, while Hechicero came in second place for Best Technical Wrestler, so there will be a high level clash of vastly different styles in this bout.
